FRAGONARD is the beautiful story of a family, of perfumes and of women. A story that began in Grasse in 1926 when Eugen Fuchs opened a perfumery he named Fragonard in tribute to the famous Grasse painter. This spirit has been loyally preserved by the three succeeding generations who have run and are still running the company. Under their leadership, new production factories and sales outlets have opened in Grasse, Eze, Cannes, Saint Paul de Vence, Nice, Marseille, Avignon, Milano and Paris. Jean Fançois Costa and his wife Helene have amassed, as avid art collectors, unique collections of historical perfume objects, Provencal costumes and jewels and 18th century paintings that have been combined to enrich the Fragonard Maison through it museums. Not only is the perfumery still run by its founder's descendants, but it is also one of the last remaining traditional family-run perfumeries in the Grasse region. Fragonard exclusive creations now constitute a unique and variety range, loyal to both its history and the Mediterranean spirit.
