The Boyana church was impressive, too bad you are only allowed to visit for 10 minutes. Not enough to see all the beautiful fresco's. The Rila Monestary was amazing! Our guide Constance had a lot of information about both places and was a great guide! The restaurant behind the monestary serves really good kavarma and bread, we loved it! Note: the monestary is really cold, so make sure to dress warm in the winter.
Our trip to the seven lakes and Rila monastery got cancelled due to bad weather, so we choose to go to the Church of Boyana instead. Both the church and monastery were great to see. The monastery was beautiful. Our guide Martin was great. The day after we choose to go to Plovdiv with the same company, traventuria, and even the same guide, haha. Great time! Have to go back to go to the seven lakes!
Prachtige tour gemaakt met Metho (gids) Hij nam echt alle tijd , kon heel boeiend en met veel passie vertellen, liet ons de prachtigste plekjes zien. We werden met zijn vieren voor het hotel om 8.00 uur opgehaald en om 20.00 uur weer voor ons hotel afgezet! Een echte aanrader dus! Wij willen Metho nogmaals bedanken! Wij hebben een prachtig stukje Bulgarije gezien!
Very nice excursion with a great guide who told every relevant information we needed in Plovdiv and later at Asen. The bus was very comfortable with a good driver. Only the free time was a little bit short, because there was only time for a quick lunch not to visit Plovdiv longer.
Sinpel geregeld, de excursie vertrok op tijd. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. De gids was heel enthousiast en deskundig, en heel sympatiek bovendien. Boyana kerk en Rilaklosster zelf waren zeer indrukwekkend. Prijs was laag!.
